Animal Testing Policy
Church & Dwight’s animal testing policy is a shining example of corporate doublespeak:
“It is our policy not to test on animals, and we also request that suppliers not test any materials or products on animals, unless required by law or regulation.”
Here’s what just happened: they explicitly say they don’t test on animals and then immediately go on to say that they actually do test on animals in certain situations. This means they DO test on animals.
They continue…
“When necessary to conduct such tests to comply with law or regulation, we only select highly qualified contract research facilities that fully comply with animal welfare laws.”
How nice that they select such warm and cuddly animal testing labs when it’s “necessary” to torture animals. The fact is none of these tests are ever “necessary.”
